Great experience with Prat from Surex

Great experience with Prat from Surex . He managed to get things done in a day while everyone else said it will take at least 2 weeks. He understood complicated file quickly and managed to help me out with it . I got Auto insurance at the best rate! I was with TD insurance previously and paid wzy more for exsact tje same policy. I paid it upfront and once time came to an end they did not call or email or any notification about it and just canceled!!! Then told me it will take 2 weeks to get the new one . And I work as a Realtor so to have my car available to drive its absolutely necessary. Very disappointing TD .. I am happy I find Prat he definitely fixed a huge issue.

Orillia is about a 90-minute drive north from Toronto and is considered the gateway to cottage country. Orillia sits perched over Lake Simcoe (located between Barrie and Gravenhurst) and is strategically situated at the junction of Highway 12 east-west bound and Highway 11 north-south bound. Driving in Orillia may be a little different as it is known as a retirement community so is a little quieter than other cities. Orillia also encourages “active transportation”, so you may encounter less traffic congestion during the warmer months with people using other modes of transportation (walking, skateboarding, cycling, jogging, rollerblading etc…). How fun!

When you own a car, getting auto insurance is mandatory by law across Canada. Whether you're commuting to work every day, or just using your vehicle to run weekly errands, you need car insurance. It protects you (the driver), your passengers, and pedestrians in the event of an accident. So, before you get behind the wheel talk to your Surex Advisor who can help you get on the road today!

But, there are multiple factors that affect car insurance rates in Orillia. To get the best possible insurance rates, we recommend contacting a licensed insurance advisor to shop the market for you to get the best deals on car insurance.

Yes, all Ontario drivers including drivers in Orillia are required by the Financial Services Commission of Ontario (FSCO) to have a minimum of $200,000 worth of third-party liability coverage, statutory accident benefits coverage, uninsured automobile coverage, and direct compensation & property damage coverage (DCPD).

There are three types of car coverage in Canada.

  • Collision car insurance: coverage for when you and another car or stationary object collide to cover the cost of the repair.

  • Comprehensive car insurance: provides coverage for hitting an animal, fire, theft, vandalism, or flood.

  • Liability car insurance: is required, by law, for all drivers. This insurance protects others from damages caused while you are driving, including property damage, bodily injury, and death.

There are a number of measures that motorists can take to lower their auto insurance premiums, including enrolling in an approved safe driving program, raising their deductibles, paying their annual car insurance premium all at once (instead of in monthly installments), driving fewer kilometres per year, avoiding making minor claims, never missing a payment, and bundling their insurance policies.

Can you transfer car insurance to another car? Yes. Simply let your insurance company know that you’ve purchased a new vehicle and would like to insure it. Your premium could change, depending on vehicle details, coverages added or removed, and your driving situation, but be sure that your updated policy no longer covers your old vehicle.

Various factors affect car insurance rates, including the amount you drive, your driving history, the state of the vehicle, your coverage, as well as your deductibles.

You can contact your assigned Surex broker/advisor or contact the insurance company directly. Make sure you have your policy # and details of the claim prepared when you call.
