Surex Direct, Canada's fastest growing online Insurance Marketplace™, is now Surex
MAGRATH, Alberta - June 24, 2019 -- Surex Direct, Canada's fastest growing online Insurance Marketplace™, has announced it is changing its name to Surex.
The company's new name reflects its evolution, as they continue their growth across Canada. The name update comes with a new brand look and website, which showcases the Surex team.
"When we launched Surex Direct in 2012, we envisioned building it as a true online Insurance Marketplace™ in Canada," says Lance Miller, CEO of Surex. "Today we manage almost $100M in insurance premiums for Canadians in several provinces. Many of our customers already know us as 'Surex,' and we're making it easier for them to tell others about their experiences with us."
"Surex is known for one thing: our dedication to customer service," adds Matt Alston, Co-Founder of Surex. "Whether we are expanding our broker teams, or continuously developing technology for our platform, we're doing it to better serve our consumers. We may be shortening our name, but our dedication to customer service will not change." Learn more in the following video:
Customers can get insured with Surex in three easy steps:
• Get a quote
• Meet your advisor
• Select your offer
Unlike other insurance websites, Surex is an online Insurance Marketplace™ that works with several insurance providers in Canada, allowing them to offer multiple, affordable insurance options to Canadians that best covers their needs regardless of provider. With Surex, Canadians receive insurance quotes online instantly, compare and customize offers, then purchase and manage their policies all online. Every customer is assigned a Licensed Insurance Advisor (aka dedicated assistant) who they can work with directly for all of their needs. Surex also develops much of their technology in-house, including a custom CRM system for their advisors to use to enhance their day-to-day management, as well as an artificial intelligence system for document processing, which has increased their billing team's productivity by over 25%.
"At Surex, we're proud to have achieved a balance of developing cutting edge technology while maintaining a personal touch as we've scaled the company at an exponential rate," says Alston. "Digitizing a traditional industry such as insurance is a tall task, and we've made significant strides towards that without sacrificing the quality of our services – we've been able to make it even better."
"We recognize that insurance can be a grudge purchase, and a less-than-ideal experience can sour the overall process for customers," says Miller. "Our vision with Surex is to create a greater and long-lasting change to the insurance industry that gives the power to the consumer."
Surex provides auto, home, and business insurance to customers in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Saskatchewan, and in the Northwest Territories and the Yukon. The company was #22 on Canadian Business' Growth 500 list in 2018.
