COVID-19 Letter from Surex CEO

Dear Surex Customers,

I wanted to take a moment and address how Surex is handling Covid-19 and what that may mean to you, our valued customers. Surex is positioned well to adapt to the quickly changing landscape amid this pandemic. We already have a large portion of our staff working from home and have a plan to have all staff working from home should a mandatory quarantine ever be issued.

While we may have small delays for a 24-hour period in the event of a mandatory quarantine, we are not expecting any lasting service delays, it would take 24 hours for our remaining staff to get all set up and working from their home. During this time the staff already working from home would be able to handle the majority of the calls and emails. Our insurance company partners are all implementing plans to protect continuity. We are keeping in touch with all our insurance partners so we can make sure we have the most up to date information for you. Any of our social media sites will have any updates as they are available.

This is certainly an unprecedented time, as we see a run on grocery stores in trying to get prepared should quarantine be necessary. If you are getting this letter it is because you know the value of being prepared in case of unforeseen events, after all, you have purchased insurance. While there is no insurance for pandemics, I believe it is still important to have a personal plan on what you will do in the event of a quarantine. After all, it is better to have a plan you don’t need, than a plan you need but don’t have. Being prepared will help avoid panic and anxiety. It is never too late to get prepared, if you haven’t done it yet, start now.

Surex is always here to help and we wish you all the best. Follow sites like the World Health Organization (https://www.who.int/) or the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (https://www.cdc.gov/). These websites are more about disseminating facts rather than the panic many news sites are spreading. Your local Health Authority will also have local infection rates and tips. Feel free to subscribe to Surex social media sites to follow helpful tips and updates on how the general insurance market is handling this pandemic and things you can do to be better prepared.
